So horrible to witness
A innocent child
Takes the consequences
Of foolish and heartless adults
How can they ever.. EVER!! forgive themselves
A mare baby
Having her father leaving her
And with no father figure to protect her
Cancer sneaks up to her
And grabs her
At the age of three…
This is really fucking concerning me
It shouldn’t be
A secret from the rest of the family

I just met you
I can’t let you
Get the best of me
Night brings out the best of me
That’s at least what I thought
Yesterday’s unspoken secret
Today’s lesson
Tomorrow’s history
As a reader it’s your job to figure out what a poet has written
